Find Article on Leadership

Recently my husband was promoted to supervisor in the social services agency that he works for. He has always been a perfectionist and is driven to do the best job possible. I wanted to get him something for the promotion and I thought maybe I could find an article on leadership that he could use to help him with his new duties. I knew that an article on leadership would be something that he would take to heart, so I wanted one that would incorporate his values as well as work ethic.

An article on leadership is not hard to find. There are many to choose from. There was one article on leadership that really caught my attention because it was written by several of the most successful leaders in the business world today. Each of them outlined what they felt were the most important attributes to possess in being a good leader. The article on leadership stressed that you have to be someone that others want to follow. People want to follow someone that is positive and pleasant to be around. I find that my husband has these qualities; however there are times that his perfectionism gets in the way of how others perceive him. The article on leadership addressed this topic very well.

I made a copy of the article on leadership and transferred the key points onto a separate sheet of paper. I then went to a local copy shop and asked if these points could be transferred to a poster board. The owner of the shop and I looked up the article on leadership to make sure we were not infringing on any copy write laws. This particular article on leadership had a statement that allowed for use and reuse of all or part of the article. We made a poster of the key points on paper that I thought would compliment the frame and matting that I had purchased. Once the poster was framed it made for a nice addition for my husband’s new office.

My husband was very pleased with my gift. It provided him with a wall hanging for his office in addition to some excellent points on leadership. He liked the key points so much that he wanted to read the full article on leadership that I had taken it from. This led him to read another related article on leadership where he learned additional information. I know that by reading what others have written as well as by applying what he has learned in his career my husband is going to make an excellent supervisor and a leader that others will want to follow.
